- Take the battery in your hand and stand behind the vehicle.
- Make sure the battery is switched off.
- Insert the battery into the rail and slide it carefully to the stop.
- The lock snaps in automatically. The battery is now locked.
You can now switch on the battery. However, please read the following sections first.
Charging the BatteryTo connect the charger to the battery:
- Switch off the battery.
- Remove the cover of the charging socket.
- Plug the charging connector of the charger into the charging socket of the battery.
- Only now connect the charger to the power socket.
The battery can also be charged directly in the bike while inserted.
General Notes on the BatteryPlease observe the following usage instructions to use the battery safely:
- Charge the battery regularly.
- Intermediate charging is welcome and does not harm the battery. On the contrary: intermediate charging ensures that deep discharges, which are harmful to the battery, do not occur.
- Charge an empty battery immediately. Due to self-discharge inherent to the technology, the battery can deep-discharge and suffer irreparable damage.
- Due to the technically conditioned discharge, we recommend connecting batteries that have not been used for a long time to the charger every 3 months and charging them.
- The operating temperature range of the battery is -20 °C to 45 °C. Never expose the battery to temperatures outside this range.
- Temperatures below 10 °C can reduce the performance of the battery. This reduces the range of the bike.
If these instructions are followed, the battery can easily last for more than 600 complete charge cycles from empty to full without experiencing a loss of performance. Intermediate/partial charges are calculated proportionally to the charged capacity when calculating charge cycles. I.e. 50% charging equals 1/2 charge cycle.
Explanation: If you ride the bike's battery half empty every day and charge it daily, after 100 days you will have charged it 100 times at 50%. This corresponds to 100 times 1/2 charge cycle. So after 100 days you will have only completed 50 full charge cycles.
If you experience a significantly reduced performance from the vehicle or a noticeable reduction in range, please contact enviado. Never make any interventions on the battery yourself. There is an increased risk of injury. Never charge the battery unattended.
Charging Times & StorageThe duration of a charging cycle depends on the charge level of the battery at the start of charging and on the temperature of the battery and the surroundings. A complete charging cycle from 0% to 100% takes approx. 5.5 hours. Please note that intermediate charges can be carried out at any time and do not harm the battery.
Battery Storage
If you do not use the battery for a longer period of time, we recommend following these storage steps:
- Never store an empty battery.
- Charge the battery and remove it from the vehicle.
- Store the battery in a safe place that does not expose it to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not store the battery together with liquids or below a ventilation system.
- Do not store the battery near a heat source such as an oven or heater.
- Do not store the battery in a cold store or refrigerator.
- Store the battery so that it cannot fall down or children or animals can play with it.
- The optimal storage temperature for the battery is approximately 10 to 15 °C.
- Ensure good ventilation of the storage location.
- For storage periods exceeding 3 months, recharge the battery quarterly (i.e. every 3 months).
- Always disconnect the charger after the charging process.
- Never charge the battery unattended.
If the battery is damaged or improperly used, vapours or liquid may escape. The vapours can irritate the respiratory tract. Provide fresh air and consult a doctor immediately if you experience discomfort.
Avoid Contact with Battery Fluid: If battery fluid gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water. Consult a doctor immediately. Skin irritation may occur. Wash the skin thoroughly with water and soap. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Seek medical assistance immediately if you experience discomfort.
Battery DisposalRecycle components, accessories, and packaging in an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of batteries and electrical components in household or residual waste.
In accordance with European directives 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/EC, electrical devices that are no longer usable and defective or depleted batteries must be collected separately and sent for environmentally sound reuse.
enviado accepts batteries that are no longer usable. Please contact us; enviado will organise the return transport.
The support of pedelecs is effective up to a speed of 25 km/h. The enviado bike is classified as a bicycle within the meaning of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). Therefore, all regulations, ordinances, and laws applicable to bicycles apply. We strongly recommend always wearing a bicycle helmet.
Areas of UseRide only on paved paths and never off-road. Avoid large puddles and water accumulations.
Even if you already have experience with electrically assisted bicycles, please make sure that you and all users are familiar with the characteristics of your enviado bike. In particular, the riding and braking behaviour as well as handling the battery and charger require appropriate expertise. If you have any questions, always contact enviado.
Due to the additional components of the electric drive, there are significant differences between a conventional bicycle and an e-bike.
- The braking behaviour is significantly influenced by the motor drive. Get used to the braking behaviour of your bike carefully.
- An e-bike has a significantly higher weight and a different weight distribution than conventional bicycles. This changes the riding behaviour.
- E-bikes require higher braking forces. This can result in higher wear than with conventional bicycles.
The average riding speed will increase due to the electric assistance. Ride accordingly carefully. Also bear in mind that other road users will need to adjust to the higher speed of the bike.
The drive unit supports pedalling automatically. The support is effective up to a speed of 25 km/h. However, you can ride faster than 25 km/h using your own pedal power. With an empty battery, you can use the bike like a conventional bicycle.
TransportTransport by Car
If you are transporting the battery without the e-bike, stow the battery so that it cannot slide or collide with other objects during the journey. Protect it from impacts and pressure loads using load-securing elements. Protect the battery from direct sunlight or other heat sources, as well as from extreme cold.
Transport by Train
Enquire with the rail service provider about the safety regulations for transporting e-bikes and batteries.
Transporting the Battery
Batteries are subject to the requirements of dangerous goods regulations. Undamaged batteries may be transported by private users on the road without further conditions.
Commercial users who transport the battery themselves on the road must comply with the applicable dangerous goods regulations (e.g. ADR). Inform yourself about the applicable regulations before transport.
For commercial transport by third parties (e.g. air transport or freight forwarding), observe the special requirements for packaging and labelling.
If you have questions about transporting the batteries, contact enviado. We can also provide you with suitable transport packaging.
Watch the set-up video (see page 3). Read the operating instructions and familiarise yourself with the vehicle. For the first ride, choose a location away from traffic. Check the vehicle using the checklist.
Checklist

- Point the vehicle in a clear direction of travel without obstacles.
- Mount the bike and first apply the front brake (right brake grip). Release the brake and pedal lightly to start riding. Do not ride towards people or animals.
- Carefully test the braking effect.
The range depends on:
- how many stop-and-go moments occur, i.e. how many trips you take,
- the terrain you ride in, i.e. how many inclines need to be overcome,
- the time of year you ride, as the battery loses performance at low temperatures,
- how fast you ride and how much you pedal yourself,
- the rolling resistance the electric drive must overcome. The correct tyre pressure of 4.5 bar is important for this in the case of pneumatic tyres.
Care and Maintenance Contribute to a High Range:
- Treat the system with care and observe all notes on the battery and motor.
- Check your vehicle regularly and report any service needs to enviado or your service partner.
- Remove the battery from the vehicle at low temperatures (below 10 °C) after the ride and store it at room temperature. Only insert the battery again shortly before the ride.
- Regularly check the tyre pressure (for pneumatic tyres) and the tyre tread.
- Regularly check the brakes and the condition of the brake pads.
Riding with an Empty Battery: If the battery is completely discharged, the bike can also be ridden without electric assistance. You can leave the battery inserted or remove it.
In order to keep your vehicle in a safe, functional condition and to be able to use it reliably, regular maintenance must be carried out.
- Warranty services are contingent on regular care of the vehicle.
- The roadworthiness of your vehicle depends on regular care and maintenance.
Regular care contributes to the longevity of the vehicle.
- For care, please use a damp cloth and only mild cleaning agents.
- Do not use cleaning agents containing solvents.
- Check the contact connectors of the electric drive for damage during cleaning.
- Report damage to your service partner or contact enviado.
For repairs, only spare parts prescribed and approved by enviado may be used. Spare parts can be ordered directly from enviado.
